 I have been away from the US for so many years that I almost forgot the toaster incentive!Sure, you can have a toaster. You have to fix the plug and say some abrakadabra over it, but I know you can make it work!  Hope to see you at our coming treks  |

It has been over 50 years since I HAVE seen it (bank accounts with long failed savings and loans). Same with grocery store handing out hideous places setting of "China" & sports themed glasses from gas stations (50cents/gallon). Over visits to my parents in 30 years, I noticed an ever diminishing number of the freebees. At the same time, the China cabinet had an exquisite set of Royal Dalton and a plain white but very fine Rosenthal china. I got the Rosenthal which I use 6 times a year.

As I have only really gone on a couple of treks and each to the same place, I lack the knowledge on this observation.......

Because you and VietOZ chipped in on the 2018 THOR Challenge with SNURK and Friends,
you have been appointed Base Campers in my mind, 36ish. I hope you don't mind. BladeD had a badge for the SNURK and Friends trek even though it's his home team. The new permanent members who joined SNURK and Friends during the trek got one also. Much of this runs at the discretion of some mermaid who doesn't have it together all the time  as you can see from BladeD's complaint   |

 -or 'collectors' item - which is the better? We did make a disproportionate amount of noise, though |
