She's alive!!! By using Bios 2.0 (instead of 2.0B), we booted up and I see 80 threads in task manager. After changing the correct cc_config.xml to ncpu =80, all threads are running at 100% too Finally! Great news That will add a bit to your stats |

@vcd683s Happy to hear it is up and running. Asking around a bit I was told some ES will not run in dual cpu config. @KLIK You have my interest, tell me more about running MIP on cores only please It's an old topic, maybe you missed it? Start from this post & read on posts: https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewpostinthread?post=552006 Hope you know how to limit with app_config your computers & don't get "slowdown" 'cause of the app engine. ![]() When I run MIP I just run it in conjunction with projects with larger weights, like say MCM. That way when work is fetched, I usually get say 75% MCM, and 25% MIP. Of course this comes with a YMMV, as it depends on when you hit up the scheduler for work. |

Thanks guys. I am super happy to have it up and running.
80 threads is a beast indeed. As a chip upgrade, it adds 32 threads for not much extra power draw. We'll have to see what the points increase is like though as it runs as 2.3Ghz vs 2.9 Ghz for my old chips. |

I'm also doing soon upgrade to a 2x6 core machine, which I'll purchase with my GRC. 2years of being in Grdcoins does pay up, at last! ![]() |

Hey Trotador,
Yes, very happy with things. Performing well and my points have gone up too. I built another desktop to run windows on and then switched the 2698's to linux as a a headless desktop last week. Got a few teething issues, but generally running well. |
