She won the Denmark Dart's Open, didn't state that she had to be from Denmark to enter or win it. Touché! Some of us didn't walk to the end of the path of logic, pcwr |

You may remember that on April 6, 2018 the demolition of a silo
at the port of Vordingborg, Denmark went wrong. It hit the corner of the building that houses the library. Today, I passed on my way to a nearby trail and stopped to have a look. The damage to the library building is not fixed, and there are still quite a bit left of the silo. Not least rebars. |

The Daily Danish
Yummy dessert If you need to go through a coloscopy, you need to swallow several liters of ugly tasting fluid of low viscosity. The health people don’t like it themselves, so they began developing a pudding with the same effect but with a fruity taste leaving an almost gourmetlike experience – something to enjoy the evening before together with your family at dinner. The initiative was named for the innovation prize of the year at the Zealand University Hospital in Køge. - excellent initiative – perhaps they should give a thought to the looks Once upon a time … There was a time – it lasted several years – where all of us in Denmark realized it was down and out to throw your trash everywhere. In solidarity we ran a clean ship, clean nature, clean roadsides .... No more Now we have an annual day mainly organized by groupings of youngsters – scouts and such for picking up everybody else’s trash - It’s such a pity. One way to show you don’t care about your country is to abuse it with your candy wrapper and upwards …. Finished The artist Bjørn Nørgaard has worked on Queen Margrethe II’s sarcophagus for 15 years. Now it’s finished, and the Queen likes it. Originally, there should have been one for Prince Henrik, the Queen’s husband, as well, but he chose to be buried at Fredensborg Castle. When the time comes Queen Margrethe II will rest in among almost 40 kings and queens from the middle ages till today. The glass sarchphagus distincts itself from others made of stone. ’The glass is to symbolize that the Queen is a democratic one, that our system is marked by transparence’, the artist says. The sarcophagus is in place at Roskilde Cathedral screened from the public, but a model is on display. - I don’t know about you, but I always found sarcofagi spooky Glass doesn’t help Giant wind turbines They will big. As tall as the pylons of the Great Belt Bridge that connects Denmark’s two biggest islands, Zealand and Funen. 250 m/820 feet. And they will produce energy for the electricity consumption of two million Danes ~ 1/3 of the population. And they will be installed off shore. 50 km/31 miles from any coast There will be between 50 and 75 of them. They will be constructed 2024-2027. It will probably be the largest wind park in the world. Not bad for a little land - we need to satisfy Google, Apple, and Facebook, too |

The Daily Danish Insectmobiles A new research project aims at mapping the number and species of insects in Denmark with the help of private cars. The project is launched by the National Nature History Museum. The project leader says: ’There’s a lot pointing in the direction of our insect fauna is getting poorer – that goes for number of species as well as for the total number of insects.’ Studies in Germany have shown that the insect population has dropped by a whopping 70% in 40 years, and the project leader believes that the same is the case in Denmark. Socalled ’voluntary pilots’ will fit a net to the roofs of their cars and catch insects to be analyzed. The Insectmobile pilots will drive a total of four trips along predetermined routes in June. Each route will be 10 km/6 miles, and the speed will be max 50 km/h – 35 mph. The experiment is slated for a repeat in 2019. |

Denmark passes ban on niqabs and burkas It says in the article:http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-44319921 Amnesty International has described the Danish vote as a "discriminatory violation of women's rights". I could think of worse violations of women's rights and treatment ... .. and fatal ones at that ... OK, I'll stop here Ian Woosnam set for season debut at Shipco Masters in Denmark What an excellent idea. We have old-boys football. Why not golf.https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/golf/44321969 Are you into golf, pcwr? |
