Re: BOINC on Mac refuses to download and crunch WUs

Actual the "initial allowance" (I was quoting my own words), is for a newly registered client to get 5 WU per thread, so an octo would get a maximum of 40. The daily quota 5 is a response to tasks having gone bad, which your Result Status page would show, but given the 'no longer usable' (Also see later results being reported), the smell is that what was on your machine was old stuff, a veritable riddle to me. Given that MCM has 10 days deadline IIRC, and it takes a few more to get the No Reply extra copy back, then another day showing as quorum complete, those 'No Longer Usable' are inferred to be at least 13-14 days old. Then the server tells the client to abort them... a 'don't bother'.

Anyway, I'm sensing a substantial mess. You need the 7.8.3/4 client for Sierra - .4 preferred as the graphics are being rebuild by WCG for various sciences specifically for MAC - and that you have now, PLUS, new work was received (probably in response to the said later result reporting per your log, raising the quota level, OR, the new day having started). Let it run and see what happens. Then if this continues, get back here.
