Sorry about late units

I dont know if the MIP admin or reasearchers monitor this site, but if they do, Sorry for all the late work units yesterday. One of my crunchers is at a remote site and lost internet connection for 9 days before I could get back to it. I'll try to do better in the future. I hate to take it off line because it is a good producer, never throws an error and
has nothing else to do while we are gone.

Forgot to mention, with the colder weather, it's constant heat keeps the pipes from freezing .

Re: Sorry about late units

B2I,

We appreciate your help on work for the MIP project. The BOINC system handles late work units and sends them to other hosts when the deadline passes. The researchers expect late or resent results for every batch as that happens on a regular basis which is probably 99.999999999% of every batch.

Again, no worries and we appreciate you contributing towards World Community Grid and MIP.

Thanks,
-Uplinger

Re: Sorry about late units

I noticed I got credit today for some of the late ones. THX. I'm experimenting with mining gridcoin currently. I'm hoping to make enough in gridcoin to pay for electricity. WCG is one of the few whitelisted projests on gridcoin that is CPU only. Since your credit for work is based on your ranking within your project only, it is the only project where a non-GPU cruncher has a chance to mine any coin at all. Its and interesting endeavor; won't know for a couple more weeks if it is feasible.

BTW: As a victim of late adult hood type one diabetes brought on but an unknown auto-immune reaction, MIP has a personal interest for me. Thanks for including it in WCG.
