This is what I see in my Contribution History Update for 10/07/2017: Statistics Date - 10/07/2017 Total Run Time - 0:014:17:43:50 Points Generated - 43,678 Results Returned - 175 An extract taken from my stdoutdae.txt related to 10/07/2017 for MIP (too big to include in my post) contains more than 300 completed tasks. It is consistent with my recent activity for this project which revolves around 28 days/300 tasks for MIP. So my question is why I do not see 50% of my activity accounted for on WCG side? Yes, SOS_Ready, there seems to be an issue with the Stats update process at the moment - as last nights midnight, and todays midday refreshes haven't successfully worked.
----------------------------------------There are a couple of other threads 'out there' about this, but the techs alerting mechanisms don't appear to have highlighted this fact to them. I'm sure that it'll all be resolved 'in the end' and you'll get your recognition for all the WU's you've returned. This is an issue that the admins will have to correct. It may be the case that tonight's end of day statistics update might correct all of the latest numbers, cumulatively speaking (speculation on my part). If that happens, there is not much of a point of the admins doing anything about this latest instance of this problem. The totals for the 7th will be off but the 8th would be higher than usual. It seems that that was what would happen with the mid-day update in cases like this prior to the move to the cloud, unless the admins intervened sooner. Well, at least for user statistics. Team statistics only update in the end of day process and the admins usually intervened before the next end of day run. I am not really certain that tonight will be any better though depending on the source of the problem. The admins could have a bit of a mess on their hands in the morning. Clearly, they do not have their monitoring fully updated for the cloud move. They would usually get alerted to problems like this before the cloud move. Transitioning their monitoring alerts does not appear to have been something that was or could have been transitioned as part of the move to the cloud. For now, when problems like this happen, we are DOA until the admins find out. Many times, they do pop in to the forums and see issues like this but, technically speaking, emailing their support id is the "official" channel. Not sure how much better that is over a weekend. It is typical that we get multiple threads across the various forums when this issue arises. In all honesty, Website Support is probably the forum best suited for them as there is clearly an issue with the website when the statistics do not update correctly. It is not always easy to spot an existing thread since a lot depends on what is used for the thread topic. To be really honest, the REAL problem is that the proper monitoring/alerts are not in place to notify the admins when problems like this occur. It leaves me a bit concerned about what other potentially far more serious problems can go unawares.
