Re: FightAIDS@Home - Phase 2 - AsyncRE - Beta Test Oct 11, 2017

Quite academic don't you think, when this is just beta... in production they seem to run of more modest duration.

And Yes, it's your fawlt, because you insist on running a project on a device that's not fit for purpose. That's why there are device profiles to choose from, so select projects can be guided at hardware that does fit the bill. cool

A _097_ has just been passing me by …
Result Name Status Sent Time Due / Return Time CPUh/Spent Claimed/Granted
FAH2_9999984_avx38789_000001_000908_097_0-- Valid 11/27/17 18:04:54 11/27/17 19:27:07 1.15/1.37 44.2/44.2
… and I had to reboot my device (kernel-4.11.6-201.fc25.x86_64) after an uptime of 155 days because someone needed to switch lightbulbs …

I have a FAH2_9999981_avx38789_000001_000077_104_0 7.18 Beta - FightAIDS@Home - Phase 2 running.

I thought that for the 10k steps tasks the limit in generations was 100 confused

"The number of generations will determine if we go with the small, medium or larger workunits. If we go with the smaller we will need over 100 generations. We are using this beta to test the asyncre backend as well as determine what settings to deploy for the work units themselves.

Thanks,

Is there anything useful left to be learned from this Beta? We've been back in production for some time now.
