Hello Nothing special with Beta WUs, for each returned WU, you will see on the Result Status page a link under the status column (valid, error, etc.). If you click on that link a pop-up window opens up that contains the log for that particular WU...New to this beta thing - where exactly are you finding this information? In appdata, locating a bunch of *txt files - or am I not looking in the right place? Any help is appreciated as I'd like to give as much info as I can. Ralf |

Like the original FAH2, the original task's result forms the base for a next generation aka seed. A 002 suffixed task is such a seed from which the next seed will get suffix 003.Dont know how this seeding/spawning of generations will go but suppose it will be again 30 or 40....not read the number anywhere.

The number of generations will determine if we go with the small, medium or larger workunits. If we go with the smaller we will need over 100 generations. We are using this beta to test the asyncre backend as well as determine what settings to deploy for the work units themselves.
Thanks, -Uplinger |

With several like this running, I rebooted a machine without taking any special care over the WCG tasks, and all the tasks restarted from the most recent checkpoint and finished as Valid.

@wolfman1360
----------------------------------------"Children" So these and typical FA@H2 WUs are so long that they are broken into pieces. Person A gets the first part and returns it. Then the next WU is generated (the next generation, the "child") and is given to someone else. That is computed and returned and then the 3rd WU in the chain is generated. Repeat until completion. |

Got 10 WUs on various Linux systems. All were valid. Looks OK from my end.
