A few days now, my virusscanner gives me this message and removes the file:
----------------------------------------Filename: wcgrid_ugm1_graphics_prod_32.exe.7.28 Threat name: Heur.AdvML.CFull Path: c:\programdata\boinc\projects\www.worldcommunitygrid.org\wcgrid_ugm1_graphics_prod_32.exe.7.28 Threat type: Heuristic Virus. Detection of a threat based on malware heuristics. anything specific to do with this ? ![]() |

I always exclude the Boinc and Boinc data directories by folder path in my virus scanners. I have read several times that malware/virus scanners have been the cause of strange behavior and/or errors within boinc.

So are you guys saying this is not a virus when Symantec (on mutiple machines) clearly thinks it is and it is being freshly downloaded. I read the other thread where you said dead projects would still download earlier items of work.
