Seemed to recollect to have read about a big initiative on Microbiome a few years ago, and sure enough: NIH Human Microbiome Project at https://hmpdacc.org/

The number of android devices is huge and increasing, many of them on 24/7. Their specs are improving fast too.
If WCG is about donating spare resources it is a mistake to ignore the potential of these devices. |

Excellent to hear there's a new 'life sciences' project on the go - I'm in :-)
----------------------------------------It's good to hear that the software used is 'Rosetta'. Like many of us here, I crunched on Rosetta a long time ago. A thing I love most about science is how the results from one project feed into another project, sometimes years later. Crunch on. To crunch on Android:
----------------------------------------1. go to Google Play Store 2. Search for "world community grid" 3. The first thing in the results is BOINC. This is what you want. For the record, you are using BOINC on your desktop/laptop - it's just that BOINC has been branded as "World Community Grid Software" (in my opinion, WCG is confusing people by branding BOINC like this). 4. Open BOINC on your Android device 5. Select World Community Grid from the list, touch "Continue" 6. Enter your World Community Grid credentials. 6a. WCG account email 6b. For "Name", enter your World Community Grid username 6c. WCG account password Any projects that you have selected in your World Community Grid account (you can see this through the website) should automatically load into BOINC on Android after you are logged in on Android.
