I'm getting a Suspended - computer is busy status listing all the time in the last few days, even though the computer is idle and plugged into power. I am on Windows 10 and the Creator update was recently installed on my computer. I didn't notice the change immediately, but this is the only significant change to my computer before I started noticing the continuous suspension. Are there any known problems with the Creator update and the Grid? If so, what can I do to correct this? Thanks for any help.

Hello,
There is a known issue with the Creator version of Windows 10. You will need to disable the BOINC/World Community Grid screen saver. You may change it to a different screen saver, or 'Blank'. Thank you for your support, ErikaT |

Go into Settings, click on Personalization, click on Lock Screen and scroll down to where you see Screen Saver Settings, set your settings as desired and click on OK.

I do not see any "Personalization" tab or icon in Settings. And nothing about screensavers. I need very precise and complete advice on how to do this. Sorry. Plus note that I don't have a screensaver display. I notice this when I get the "simple view" window active. Usually I have nothing showing Grid is working.

Jord posted over at Berkeley a list of things changed in Creator... it seems MS is preparing to disable Screensavers, though the language is open to interpretation https://www.ghacks.net/2017/07/23/Windows-10-...-update-removed-features/
"Screen saver functionality in Themes X X Removed in themes in this release, deprecated in Group Policy, Control Panel and Sysprep but functional for the time being r" |

Did not realize earlier poster meant Windows Settings and not Grid Settings. But my screensaver settings in Windows 10 were already NONE. So that does not explain the computer busy messages I get.
Very disappointing not to be able to continue assisting the Grid. Is there anything else I can try? |

Think there was a discussion on the 'always busy' for W10 over at the Berkeley forums, the screensaver just stopped working for W10-Creationist, and see no relevance to be honest [new build in the works], but to be sure, there's no game wheel / joystick that's giving bad signal?

I am happy to report that Grid is working again. No computer busy problems today. I have no idea why I had the problem and why it disappeared. But glad to be back to normal. Thanks to all.
