Even with your explanation of the last weekend puzzle, I had to really think about the symbols and their positioning. It is definitely not the kind of thinking i would normally do. The positioning and the symbol order for the solution did not even cross my mind. Interesting puzzle.I was thinking a numerical solution or some type of inverted or exotic matrix operation.
Obviously I was way off base.

The new puzzle is much easier, It has the form of a classic algebra problem. Thanks for the puzzle.
