One interesting way to keep the batteries and phone CPUs cool could be to use Peltier elements. There are lots of youtube videos showing how to make mini freezers from cheap Peltier modules, sometimes augmented with a desktop CPU cooler, all housed inside a styrofoam box, which is easily penetrated by wifi signals, power supply could come through a hole sealed up with silicone rubber.

Not really an apples to apples comparison, but you are having 3x more cores, I'm assuming x86 vs my Android cores, and 40x more Perf :)

100 yrs on pure Android cores is an impressive feat to achieve my friend. And yes sir, after many trips to the dog house I was able to have some x86 :)

Total newb to this with just a standard old phone connected
----------------------------------------A couple of questions..... What do most phones consider a discharged phone battery? or will it run with 3.3v on batt terminals? For those cheap phones with broken touch screens are you using bluetooth keyboards or what? Replies or links much appreciated |

If you have the phones set up in advance you could use blutooth or whatnot. I personally like having remote software like Teamviewer installed ASAP in case hardware fails. However, TV limits you to 50 devices per account. If you are getting into cheap phones like I've been accumulating, that runs out quick.
----------------------------------------Some phones you can solder a usb cable straight to the connectors and some you cannot. It all depends on the model. |

Added a gift from my brother, MXQ (4-core) Android device to work for WCG. Maybe I should get more of those? ;)

I'm taking advantage of Straight Talk's free phones w/ purchase of monthly service card. Each time I buy a month of service (that I use) I will tack on another quad core phone on the freebie list. Between myself and my wife's accounts, I'm essentially adding 2 phones a month for free.
