Re: Invalids

Thanks for the replies.

I'm not running any Athlon or x32 systems so this part won't be applicable. I've also not received enough units as of yet to only crunch HTSB on the processor, it's been a mix of HTSB and Zika at any given time.

At this moment I would put the AMD link as the causation as "inclusive". I did get 3 T350s from the 17th validated, and have a lot of WU in pending validation. I'm going to run it to the end of week and see how the validation results are. I'll report back the results then.

Re: Invalids

I also run a mix. I have never run HSTB exclusively on any of the machines. The past 6 weeks or so they have been running along side FAH2.

Re: Invalids

Just a very brief and final follow-up since most of the results are now in:
-No invalids were seen at all for the 0xxx units.
-For the 3xxx to 4xxx units, the invalid rate was above 50%. So not a 100%
invalid rate but still high.

Re: Invalids

Hi,
AMD fx8350 here.
A t300 failed with this error.
HST1_ 013830_ 000019_ MC0026_ T300_ F00006_ S00020_ 3--

<file_name>wcgrid_hst1_gromacs_7.16_windows_intelx86</file_name>
<error_code>-120 (RSA key check failed for file)</error_code>
But yet a t350 is pending validation from the same.
All my other Intel boxes are running these just fine but none have gotten a t300 yet.
This is frustrating as there are already so little WU's trickling in from this project.

Re: Invalids

Just had a number of invalids - again, only on AMD - Intel servers are fine.
Here's a snipped of the log:

Re: Invalids

"Why the invalid?"

Even "invalid" is better than no HST work units at all. These are my last work units received.

Re: Invalids

How are invalid's better than no work units? The project gets no value from an invalid.

They indicate that the project server is alive and trying to send out work. No work units indicate that the project has died and no longer cares.
