Invalids

I'm getting a large number of invalids (9 so far) across all three machines focused on this task. They are all the long ones, T300, 325, 350, 400. They are however being validated with the 3rd quorum. The only configuration setting which was "off" was I had the checkpoint settings for 20 minutes (a holdover from CEP), and I reset this back to 1 minute.

It's a bit annoying given the shortage of WUs to begin with. The system specs are in the signature, all have plenty of resources. Everything is stable and factory stock settings.

Is anyone having similar issues with these?

Thank you, that is what I was wondering about. All my boxes have AMD processors, so I don't have an Intel to compare with. This is the only commonality I can think of remaining, I've pretty much eliminated everything else. The CPU type doesn't show for the wingmen when clicking on the completed WU. All the T0xx WUs are validating fine, and I don't get invalids for any other project.

I'm going to let it run a bit longer before deciding whether to pull the plug on this project.

Re: Invalids

If anyone else has a mix of both AMD/Intel systems, please check and see if your seeing this issue on your AMD systems and not the Intel's. T3xx -T4xx WUs only. Much appreciated.

Thanks,
Paul

Re: Invalids

I have 3 AMD systems and 14 Intel. I have no invalid HSTB WUs in the past 3 days on either platform. It might be related to specific AMD processor.

My AMD systems are:

A10-6800k
FX-8150
Phenom II X6 1090T

Re: Invalids

This is not quite the same thing, but I have one box with dual Intel E5410's running Linux Mint. For reasons beyond my comprehension the T3xx and T4xx TB units cause the system to shut down and reboot. These are the only work units which have caused a problem with this machine. No problems with any other machine either Intel or AMD. I simply took this project off of that machine.
Cheers

My box is Intel. Four Core XEON E5-2603, 1.8GHz, 10M, 6.4 GT/s

As far as I know, none failed.

Re: Invalids

Search the HSTb forum with the term 'AMD' and you get... https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg...=0&sort=1&rows=20

In amongst "When will the Athlon processors be supported?" and "Random Reboots" and "Can't run full blast on my 32 core machine (64 threads)", latter why I actually only allow 3 to run concurrent, for optimal performance, on my machine. cool
