Hi,
I've got an ARM based server running Linux (Debian), CLI only. Need to attach it to WCG. I followed the guide https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/help/viewTopic.do?shortName=boinc#664 and installed it: # sudo apt-get install boinc-client (I didn't install boinc-manager, want to do the installation lightweight). I attached it to the project: sudo -u boinc boinccmd --project_attach http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org <Used My Account Key> Here are the outputs from the boinc client: # boinccmd --get_state ======== Projects ======== 1) ----------- name: World Community Grid master URL: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ user_name: sepmsk team_name: Russia resource share: 100.000000 user_total_credit: 6751024.116347 user_expavg_credit: 2562.169992 host_total_credit: 0.000000 host_expavg_credit: 0.000000 nrpc_failures: 0 master_fetch_failures: 0 master fetch pending: no scheduler RPC pending: no trickle upload pending: no attached via Account Manager: no ended: no suspended via GUI: no don't request more work: no disk usage: 0.000000 last RPC: Sun Apr 30 10:53:29 2017 project files downloaded: 1493548788.405229 GUI URL: <output omitted> ======== Applications ======== ======== Application versions ======== ======== Workunits ======== ======== Tasks ======== ======== Time stats ======== now: 1493550125.499519 on_frac: 1.000000 connected_frac: -1.000000 cpu_and_network_available_frac: 0.999965 active_frac: 0.999965 gpu_active_frac: 0.999965 client_start_time: Sun Apr 30 10:37:06 2017 previous_uptime: 0.000000 session_active_duration: 1462.010709 session_gpu_active_duration: 1462.010709 total_start_time: Sun Apr 30 10:37:06 2017 total_duration: 1492.320751 total_active_duration: 1462.010709 total_gpu_active_duration: 1462.010709 Get tasks output is empty: # boinccmd --get_tasks ======== Tasks ======== # # boinccmd --get_host_info timezone: 0 domain name: outpost IP addr: 127.0.1.1 #CPUS: 4 CPU vendor: ARM CPU model: CPU FP OPS: 548796042.941525 CPU int OPS: 2083192198.448539 CPU mem BW: 1000000000.000000 OS name: Linux OS version: 4.9.20-std-1 mem size: 2118508544.000000 cache size: -1.000000 swap size: 0.000000 disk size: 49080274944.000000 disk free: 45444329472.000000 # Could you pls help. Hi Rob,
I've been there but unfortunately couldn't find the solution. I tried # boinccmd --project http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org update also tried # boinccmd --project http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org resume but nothing happened, # boinccmd --get_tasks ======== Tasks ======== # still empty. What I missed? |

Hmm, I don't think WCG has tasks for Linux and ARM CPU's, only Android and ARM.
----------------------------------------(https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/help/viewTopic.do?shortName=minimumreq) I think that is why you are not getting any tasks. ![]() - AMD Ryzen 5 1600AF 6C/12T 3.2 GHz - 85W - AMD Ryzen 5 2500U 4C/8T 2.0 GHz - 28W - AMD Ryzen 7 7730U 8C/16T 3.0 GHz |

Thank you Falconet! It's a pity that ARM CPUs are not supported( I thought that it should work as far as Linux is a supported OS and there is Boinc compiled for ARM...

BOINC doesn't do the science... The science app does. BOINC is just the "manager" of tasks
