Download errors are a different kettle of fish. Some instances like yours are still unsolved. See the main thread for that issue.

If before these HSTb jobs were fine, and now serially go bad, and you've done the proposed before, then next, reset the project, so new app fixed parts are fetched next time jobs get assigned.

It would depend on the OS you are using. In Linux, the Boinc manager may lack execute permission on the file that does the work unit. If you are running SELinux, it may be more difficult to solve. (I run that, but my release of SELinux gives helpful diagnostics so if you are the super-user on the authorised console terminal, you can give the process the necessary permission (or refuse it).
----------------------------------------Another possibility is that you do not have enough memory to put the program, or your process table is full and your OS cannot create another process until some others terminate. These are unlikely in modern operating systems unless there is something seriously wrong on your machine (software, probably not hardware). ![]() |

Well it's a very new (less than 6 months) Lenovo Thinkpad T460 running windows 10 that I use only for work, and I've never found any indication that something is wrong on the machine. I've completed probably a dozen from the TB project successfully, maybe there was just an error or something and it didn't know what to do so it threw that error.
Oh well :) Crunching goes on. |
