Device Profiles not giving me correct work

In my profiles I had Smash Childhood Cancer and OpenZika and then I changed it to only get Smash Childhood Cancer. Even though I made this change and updated Boinc Manager I am still getting OpenZika. I have not got the option set "If there is no work available for the project(s) I have selected above, please send me work from another project."

Re: Device Profiles not giving me correct work

I have the same kind of problems. I select SCC this morning , to get a few tasks, then deselect it. And i am now receiving tasks for this project again :-(

Re: Device Profiles not giving me correct work

After finally managing to download a few last night (and seeing that the estimated time was way out), I deselected it - as I could tell that my cache was a lot larger than BOINC thought. Thus, when I went to bed last night, and also woke this morning, I only had HST selected.

Sometime this afternoon, it "selected itself" again without me noticing until I arrived home to find both my machines cache full of SCC WU's that, it claims will only take ~1hr 20 mins to finish (I've one currently at just over 50%, that's taken nearly 7 hrs). Therefore I deselected it again - only for it to "select itself" yet again...

What's going on???

Re: Device Profiles not giving me correct work

We had some issues with the 'opt-in' script and we have re-run it a couple of times while we sort out the issues. This is the cause of the unexpected behavior in what you are seeing. We are close to resolving these issues. Once we do, we will finally run the script in its entirety and you shouldn't have any more issues.

Re: Device Profiles not giving me correct work

It seems to be working OK now, maybe because you ran the script but fixed till I make another change,

Thanks

Re: Device Profiles not giving me correct work

Kevin, once you've run the script for the last time, can you please post an update - as, despite me unchecking the SCC1 project AND the opt-in for new projects, I'm now getting the following;

27/01/2017 21:07:48 | World Community Grid | Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks
27/01/2017 21:07:48 | World Community Grid | No tasks sent
27/01/2017 21:07:48 | World Community Grid | No tasks are available for Help Stop TB
27/01/2017 21:07:48 | World Community Grid | No tasks are available for Smash Childhood Cancer
27/01/2017 21:07:48 | World Community Grid | No tasks are available for the applications you have selected.
27/01/2017 21:07:48 | World Community Grid | This computer has finished a daily quota of 5 tasks

Therefore, to me, it looks as though it's still requesting SCC1 WU's (despite my computer saying that it's 'finished a daily quota of 5 tasks').

Personally, my BOINC session has now downloaded so many SCC1 WU's that I'm pretty certain I'll have to abort a few in order to get them returned in time.

Re: Device Profiles not giving me correct work

Okay, thanks Kevin - I've switched my "opt-in" option back on whilst leaving just CEP2 & HST selected, so we'll see what happens (hopefully, nothing).
