Re: FAH2 Flow Restarting?

Got 38 WUs on the two machines attached to this project. First 7 have been going 5~7 hours; so far so good.

Edit: 3 are done: two took 9 hours, one took 8 hours.

Cheers coffee

Re: FAH2 Flow Restarting?

Seems like the drawl is too big.

Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks
No tasks sent
No tasks are available for Help Stop TB
No tasks are available for FightAIDS@Home - Phase 2
No tasks are available for FightAIDS@Home - Vina
Project has no tasks available

Edit: Some Vinas just came in. But still there is a big drawl for WUs which is great.

Re: FAH2 Flow Restarting?

I got the message 3 times in the last two hours.
"No work available"
20 minutes later I got some FA@H Vina WUs.
"No work available"
20 minutes later I got some FA@H Vina WUs.
*repeat*
Looks like the system is struggling to keep up with demand. And the small size of FA@H Phase 1 must be keeping the servers busy.

Re: FAH2 Flow Restarting?

Been getting a lot of _1 or higher work units and after looking at the results they seem to be the result of errors on the Windows platform. Either a privilege problem or a shared memory segment problem. I'm not complaining as I run 100% Linux but seems like an error that should be looked into...

Re: FAH2 Flow Restarting?

For FAHV, we are still running this rather slow on the grid. What this means is that there are few results ready to send on the feeder. Usually around the time of stats, the transitioner is disabled, this causes a backlog of results that need to be sent to reliable hosts or a specific host type. This usually causes the feeder to get backed up. Most of the time, this clears on it's own and did so in this case as well. It just takes time to clear.

Thanks,
-Uplinger

Re: FAH2 Flow Restarting?

I have been getting a few FAHV units that predict around 12 minutes of computing time.
But today I just got a FAH2 unit that thinks it will take 23:54:15.

Re: FAH2 Flow Restarting?

not meant for you personally.....wouldn't it be nice (and better for wcg in general) if we all stop buffering days of work at 19 hrs apiece when there are some of us that wait for hours for the same jobs to dribble down ? This is also a factor in MCM where excessive buffering leads to
frequent "no-relies" and 10 day delays before the task is assigned to somebody else, and work assigned to "pending valid" que for weeks at a time. Maybe time for to put a limt on hording that effects others! crying crying

@Uplinger,

Any news on the researchers review of the AsynceRE beta work units?
