I have received 8 'Rigids' so far on one WIN64 PC - certainly the TTC's are adrift - between 11% and 14% completed in 3 hours - anticipating 24hrs+ - I hope they don't fall foul of the time limit!!!

Here's my valids so far. Still have 22 in PVal and 12 still running (8 from batch 1 and 4 from batch 2). keithhenry, Amberslaptop, VulcanScienceAcademy, and VulcanHighCouncil are Wintel ( last three are WIN10 x64). The rest are Linux (Intel Xeon E312 Sandy Bridge). No problems with any so far but Linux are still running 2-3 times as fast as Wintel.

I have a question...
I have some BETA WUs on my Mac. But they are not running yet. My Computer is still crunching on other WUs for OET. Is this a normal behaviour? Is there no high priority for BETA WUs? |

I just got 2. The first one failed quickly with a download issue:
----------------------------------------BETA_ FAHV_ 1000006_ 4xfx_ P2_ 0862_ 0-- <core_client_version>7.2.47</core_client_version> The second one, BETA_ FAHV_ 1000007_ 4xfx_ P3_ Rigid_ 0399_ 0-- , is running quite happily. Edit: Just had a look at the event log. Looks like it tried to download the image file beta18_image05_7.34.tga a second time a couple of minutes later and I guess it was OK the second time around. Those I've completed with _1000006_ in the name had between 34 and 47 tasks, CPU Time 0.55hr to 0.73hr, Windows 10.
----------------------------------------@elRonaldo these beta units have a 4 day deadline. However, the BOINC client favours continuing to run existing units before changing. You can alter the behaviour temporarily by suspending all other tasks for a short while (ensure "Leave tasks in memory while suspended" is set), or using app_config.xml to restrict how many tasks run for other projects. Hmmm, batch 9 ( _1000009_ if you prefer) look lengthy - mine have 35 or 40 tasks, still running task #4 after 1.5 hours ...

Started 8 NON ridged simultaneously on a W10 box with a HDD dedicated to BOINC, took about 45 seconds for them all to start up, didn't have any error out in the first few minutes

Update ! I have also snagged 3 others - all 'normal' Beta WU's - the first has completed in just under 1.5 hrs - so radically different to the Rigid's......
