Thanks for the explanations. I was wondering effectively about running tasks.

On the 13 New Zealand date I completed ZIKA_ 000405437_ x5k6k_ ZIKV_ NS1_ MD_ model_ 1_ s1_ 5180_ 1-- it had 2 tasks and the run for .14 of an hour about 8.4 minutes. It was a nice surprise because Laidley they have been running around the 2 hour mark and have between 31 and 39 jobs. Times from a Windows 10 machine running a I 7 5960X

Not sure what happened to my running of Open Zika. I am using a Windows 10 computer. Most of the Open Zika units, that were estimated to run at 2 hours or so, were at 15 with no end in sight. I ended up cancelling them all. Any one else experience this?

I ended up cancelling them all. Any one else experience this? Yesterday, my longest OpenZika job ran for 2.8hrs on a Linux box; all Win10 jobs completed in under 2hrs, so nothing like what you were experiencing. I assume you tried rebooting, etc. FWIW, this was posted yesterday on the OpenZika Forum: NEW EXPERIMENT Experiment 3C = Virtual Screening against the NS1 protein (crystal and protein conformations from MD simulation) – site 2 Docking calculations against ZIKV NS1 protein crystal structure (PDB ID: 5k6k) and the conformations obtained from molecular dynamics simulations were performed against ZINC15 Library (30.2 million compounds). We performed the docking calculations using the glycosylation pocket N270 (site 2). Batch Range LibraryNickname 412877-421021 BigLib (ZINC15 library) Sounds like a new compound simulation runs slightly longer . . . . ? |

Yea... I re-booted etc. I also looked before cancelling to see what someone else completed it in.... 2 1/2 hours or so. So... Open Zika is out for me. Thanks.

Thanks. As an update... I deleted Boinc, erased the directory and re-installed. All is well now. Who knew.

You're welcome. I completed one in job today that ran for over 4 hours unfortunately I cannot find it in my task list to share the name. Has anybody else noticed much longer runtimes?

Oh yes, my Android device typically needs about 12 hours to run only one ZIKA job.
----------------------------------------If you want to find out if there have been any running longer than 4 hours on your Linux box, try this: $ awk '$9 ~ /^ZIKA/ && $5 > 14400' ~boinc/job_log_www.worldcommunitygrid.org.txt (14400 seconds = 2 × 7200 = 4 × 3600 → 4 hours) [Edit 2 times, last edit by adriverhoef at Apr 1, 2019 12:14:16 PM] |
