Work units with large number of tasks

Aborted this work unit after running 22+ hours on a Dell Inspiron i3-550 desktop system. It had 148 tasks which is unusually large. 102 tasks finished successfully. Probably should have left it run for another 10 hours. Hopefully the resend completed successfully.

My largest one had 229 tasks. They do eventually finish so there is no need to abort them. There is no decrease in points either.

Re: Work unit with large number of tasks

Got a work unit with 166 tasks yesterday. Going to leave it run this time. Estimated time to completion is 32 hours. 4 hours to go.

Re: Work unit with large number of tasks

I'm disappointed with the granted credit for so long tasks. Next time I will abort it. Promise.

My very fast host took 9.11h (wingman: 40.59h!!!), granted credit is 46.5cr. for 238 "inner" tasks.

Luigi... question: what do you do with the points that you are credited with?
Thanks, CJSL

Re: Work unit with large number of tasks

We are doing the 12th WCG Birthday Challenge.

Apart from that, why should WCG grant points in a random way?
As volunteer I like to see my work paid uniformously.
