Re: anyone following the 'immortality' front?

Would you really want to live forever? think about it, watching everyone around you that you care about who can't afford what will be incredibly expensive treatments to stay alive die off over a period of time? I certainly wouldn't.

If they can keep my cat alive too then maybe, forever is a long time to miss him

Re: anyone following the 'immortality' front?

We are confusing the term immortal (impervious to any lethal harm) and indefinite life spans.

Most researchers in this field of gerontology are trying to achieve indefinite lifespans NOT save you from being hit by a bus hahah

Well buying a car would have been incredibly expensive in the late 1800s....you think that this treatment will never go down in price?

We probably die because there was no real evolutionary pressure on us to live past our grand-parent age (added help to children - but by great grandparent stage you are a burden)

Re: anyone following the 'immortality' front?

I've seen some stuff lately that sounds good. Maybe 150 years. Of course you have to eat healthy food and exercise. Exercising for 20 minutes 3 times a week is all you need. More and it just wears out your knees. Which is super painful.

The two most important indicators of good health are Blood Pressure and Cholesterol. If you keep those under control you may never get Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. Yes it is as bad as it sounds. Deep breathing and flossing your teeth are also good for your heart. If you have any heart pain I suggest seeing a Dr. Sooner than later. If you can't afford a Dr.. I suggest researching a low dose Aspirin regime.

Edit: And I wouldn't worry too much about weight. It will come off the first time you get really sick.

Why would you be a burden? wink

Always do some fitness thing, to keep the blood flowing!
