I recently tried out several providers' VPS. I found out one of my host, which is using quad vCPU and OpenVZ, having a lot lower credit (half) while doing about same amount of work (2.5~3hrs). All other hosts, bare metal, KVM, have no such problem, they all use 2-4hours and yield about 80-120 credits.
----------------------------------------So, the question is, how are credits calculated? If it is just "cobblestones" done, such huge difference on credit yield shouldn't be observed. Furthermore, why two hosts doing the same work unit can yield(claim) different credit? [Edit 1 times, last edit by kylinblue at Aug 11, 2016 4:31:58 PM] |

I suspect it was due to the architecture efficiency different, but, why two hosts working on the same WU, and the one spent less time claimed more credit than the one spent more time claimed less credit???
