Should I update the BOINC agent?

I downloaded the BOINC installer from the WCG website, which currently gives version 7.2.42. However I keep getting notices that version 7.6.22 is available from the BOINC website. I am just wondering if there is a particular reason that the WCG website does not have the latest version and whether I should update it or not?

WCG provides a slightly customized version of BOINC, which I understand they have vetted in one way or another. If it is working fine for you, just go with it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
