Hello, i am new here.
I have a question about the boinc configration. I have a very slow tablet here , and every time i have to restart this , i lost a amount of 0.5 to 1% calculated results every time. How can i configue boinc to write the results every 16 Kilobytes are calculated ? Greetings |

You can not. Saves are only done at so called Checkpoints, intermediate result points which are small. If that would not be done, you could be continuously writing hundreds of megabytes of the whole momentary model.
----------------------------------------BTW, you can configure how often checkpoints are written, up to a point under the Advanced > Access Interval option. Mine are set to 600 seconds. I don't really care because the power cycling this device gets is about once a month when Google does the monthly patching. [Edit 1 times, last edit by SekeRob* at Aug 7, 2016 11:31:45 AM] |

that´s very bad for me, but i must configure the boinc client to automaticly will normaly shut down while Windows 10 will shutdown because of low accumulator loading capacity.
----------------------------------------How will i do that ? [Edit 1 times, last edit by Rantanplan72 at Aug 7, 2016 11:31:40 AM] |

Modded my previous post. When thinking of tablet, its Android tablet being thought off, BOINC on Windows tablet has the Write to Disk interval setting which does the same thing as the Access Interval on Android. Those checkpoints are only written when the job step is complete, which can take minutes, but longer too.

not good for me, i changed to every 6 seconds, but boinc didn´t write the results.
the bad "news" got only 1 hour left to crunch and send the result on TB project. But this thing is always reseting an calculating at the beginning of 99.009%. Accumulator is empty, and i can´t send the result in time and it took me over 3 days work to get this tablet to crunch "properly". So i am now p....d o.. |

As I wrote, it's "up to a point" that you can ask the program to store the intermediate progress (Default 60 seconds 'at most'). Don't know what the minimum is for OpenZika (Speed of device makes a difference).
Does your W10 tablet not have a hibernation mode? Default not on, but you can config it, I did on my Desktop and Laptop. With hibernation, resume is loss-less. |

I will quickly activate it if it´s doesn´t.
----------------------------------------It shut down...accumulator at zero percent and have to load. Will take a half hour, and a half hour to crunch. Too late... Workunit Crul thing, i even can´t config this tablet to run on power cord. did the following powercfg -h ON Result: Shuting down, with lost of all calculations that have been done since 99.009% of the result. Can´t select hiberniation on low accumulator...it always a shut down, not configureable on this tablet. [Edit 6 times, last edit by Rantanplan72 at Aug 7, 2016 12:40:18 PM] |

If you return your WU HST1_006156_000100_MC0008_T300_F00081_S00006 within a few hours of the deadline, you should still be good, although the WU that was sent to you will now be sent to someone else (the so called wingman), too.
----------------------------------------BTW, the link that you provided doesn't work for others. Copy&paste please. For starters, just try and compare this: https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/devi....do?workunitId=1744913859 and https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/devi....do?workunitId=1744913860 [Edit 1 times, last edit by adriverhoef at Aug 7, 2016 1:37:27 PM] |
