I believe I have everything in order. Running multiple projects since I signed up on 7-24-16. I am using 2 computers.
My boinc manager shows I am running, but I show no activity at all in my contributions. |

Work is given to multiple people to make sure the files are legit and aren't corrupted in any way. Once the computer who was given the same work as you (your "wingman") completes the work, WCG can confirm both files match and you both get credit and the tallies on the "My Contribution" page will be updated accordingly. Depending on who your wingman is, it can be a few hours to a week+.
----------------------------------------To see the status of the work units (Wu), click "My Contribution" at the top right, then click "Results Status" on the left side. It will show all the recent work (old work gets removed from the list otherwise it gets too long). You can also sort the WUs by computer, project, and status. Thanks for joining 1shadow1~ ![]() |

Well, 1shadow1, it seems to me that you are using your name 1shadow1 only for posting in the forum, 'cause https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/stat/viewMemberInfo.do?userName=1shadow1 doesn't show any devices (as in a zero count). So there will be no contributions (and no future badges) under your forummembername, unless proven otherwise.

Exactly. We are posting on both my computer and my friends computer, so we have 2 devices working. It shows both devices in progress, but no results at all. Is there a big delay between starting and the first results that I am too impatient to witness.

Hi 1shadow1,
----------------------------------------Whenever a new person joins (or, for that matter, someone who's been here for a very long time adds a new computer), all work sent to that person's computer(s) needs to just be checked/verified for sanity purposes - as there's no point in sending unreliable results back to the scientists. In due course, and depending on which sciences you decide to crunch, some will start to send "zero-redundancy" work units - meaning that, for that particular science/computer it has been checked/verified to "go it alone". Therefore, this basically means that, work that you/your computers have returned, may have to wait for a few days in a state of "Pending Validation/Verification", until the corresponding Work Unit that was sent to someone else's computer has been returned and verified against yours. Once both Work Units have been returned, compared against each other and verified, then, after, the next statistics run (which occurs at mid-day/mid-night UTC time - and, particularly for the mid-night run, can take a while to complete), you'll start getting credited for the work completed. If you go to "My Contribution" | "Results Status" and click on the "Time Due / Return Time" column, you should see all the work your computers have returned sorted latest first - and, you should see that the status will either say "Pending Validation" or "Pending Verification". As indicated above, only when you start seeing the status of "Valid", will the totals start accumulating after the next statistics run. Hopefully, the above makes sense. Basically though, unless you're seeing anything other than "Pending Validation", "Pending Verification" or "Valid", there's nothing to be overly concerned about. Currently, with just 2 computers (8 cores) running, i've got a relatively short list of 10 Work Units stilling in "PV Jail" - all awaiting their respective "wingman" to return their Work Unit. ![]() |

Congratulations 1shadow1 - you've now got some 'points on the board' (i.e., 2 WU's have been validated - with plenty more to come I'm sure).
