Someone asked about this over at Rosetta as well, can you boot a USB stick with Linux or is external booting not allowed? Because of the x86/Android limitation (though I see there are some Chromebooks that have ARM processors) I would think Linux would probably be the most useful. I am running WCG projects (OpenZika and OET) on ARM devices, my phone and my tablet (both Android) as well as occasionally on my RPi3 (Linux).But again, Chromebooks are by design very limited creatures...
