I was not contradicting you, I was just pointing out an additional example of the extremes they were into during the cold war. BTW the more I thought about it the Missle Sight Radar Facility also had a huge diesel engine on even larger shock mounted springs. My guess the gas turbines were backups to the backups since they could come on very fast.
