16-Jun-2016 13:22:27 [World Community Grid] Scheduler request completed

in UTC it is 11:22

task is valid:
FAH2_ avx38779-ls_ 000038_ 0003_ 003_ 0-- dango-vexxhost Valid 6/12/16 16:45:29 6/16/16 10:49:12 12.75 / 0.00

with return timestamp as partial trickle-up message. and result log is empty:

Result Log

Result Name: FAH2_ avx38779-ls_ 000038_ 0003_ 003_ 0--

..so it looks like system didn't catched this WU as completed task..

Report error: handle_trickle_down failed: unexpected null pointer

Please edit the OP title to give it some searchable meaning. Also, please post the result log from the RS page for this task.

If not all trickles were reported proper, I'd think that up to that point, the result may still be usable [scientists prefer 8 trickles minimum per job]... after all there are partial results, which then kick off a new one that starts at the last good trickle of the previous step set.

Re: Report error: handle_trickle_down failed: unexpected null pointer

Drad... no telling how for it got unless sitting down and counting the trickles for that task in the event log. Don't bother though... tech problem to me.

'handle_trickle_down' is a strange description, when in fact we're trickling up :?

Re: Report error: handle_trickle_down failed: unexpected null pointer

So, Basically what is happening is that a trickle down message is put into the database to tell that person to stop working on that result. They could have reported the result on scheduler update then download the trickle down. If the result does not exist when the client attempts to handle that message, it gets a null pointer exception.

Thanks,
