I started a thread in the hardware forum about running WCG on Raspberry Pi 3:
https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,39145 OET and OpenZika are the two projects that would seem to be the closest to be able to run on a Raspberry Pi 3, given that they are already ported to Android. I was wondering if anyone here in the OET forum had interest in running OET on a Raspberry Pi 3? DadX seems to mention that s/he is running other crunching on Android and Raspberry Pi machines (https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewpostinthread?post=484765), so I'm kinda guessing there is at least some interest...? |

I am running BOINC projects on a PI2 and a PI3, would love to have them crunching for WCG. Already have an Android tablet doing OET and Zika, as well as a Windows laptop,

Nice to hear. Well, I guess that makes at least 2 of us interested in running WCG on Pi 3 :-)
I also got my Android mobile doing OET and Zika and my Pi 3 been running rock-steady for over a month now doing Einstein@Home and Universe@Home. I also got a desktop PC (Linux) where I run WCG and I also run Einstein@Home, but only allow it to use my GPU. Works really nicely too: WCG gets all my spare CPU and Einstein@Home does some heavy lifting with my (GP)GPU. |
