In smaller size? I hope that the one I got doesn't take 3.5 days like it says it will :)

Mine on the slowest machine says 4 days 4 hours but the first 3% suggests completion in 18 cpu hours (remember 18 hours?) so it is only the projection that is off. (probably)

Re: Clean Energy Project - Phase 2 Beta May 23, 2016 [ Issues Thread ]

The wrong expected runtimes on these tasks has sent every one of my machines into panic mode with zika tasks that aren't due until 6/1 running in high priority which puts other tasks that were already started into waiting to run mode. Even setting cache to 0 doesn't fix it.

I got 3, was able to watch 1 off and on. 4.5 hours in it reached its first checkpoint on a 3.4 GHz machine. Paused-resumed, so far so good.

The estimated time remaining is interesting with "1 day 18 hours" left.

Re: Clean Energy Project - Phase 2 Beta May 23, 2016 [ Issues Thread ]

I've had 6 finish so far, with 5 to 10 hours runtime, and 3 are already Valid. All exited in Job #3 (out of #0 to #4). One of the Valids had Application exited with RC = 0xc0000005, the others RC = 0x1.
The remaining workunits I've downloaded are all heading for total time over 18 hours, and that's with <fraction_done_exact/> set in app_config.xml.

Re: Clean Energy Project - Phase 2 Beta May 23, 2016 [ Issues Thread ]

I've only snagged two and at 28% completed they are showing only 962 days to compete give or take an hour or two!

You'll be surprised to learn I'm working through a large batch of the early Zika with the silly expected runtimes which is throwing off the DCF a little.

Apart from that they seem to be running fine. I'll know better in a few years when they complete. biggrin

Re: Clean Energy Project - Phase 2 Beta May 23, 2016 [ Issues Thread ]

Got 7 on 3 machines, 1 finished in 8, never saw it running, one is sweating on an other in High Priority showing 6 hours left after 6 hours being at 37%, no checkpoint, the 5 on the laptop running too in HP, showing 35 to 51% progress at 7 to 10 hours, with between 3:12:00 and 4:04 'days' TTC to go. Full panic, went into app_config.xml and added beta11 with <fraction_done_exact/>, read the config in and all is much better... 9 to 12.5 hours left, meaning if that is accurate, they're going to hit the 18 hour brick wall. Oh and neither 5 have checkpointed yet! [and then they were called shorts ;o].

Edit: Interesting as in past thought that <fraction_done_exact/> did not work on the CEP2 production work, but now it clearly does... maybe it did after all and was watching eyes wide shut :O)))
