Re: Welcome to the OpenZika Project

330 mil docking jobs = 330 mil work units ? Or there is some different ratio ?

Re: Welcome to the OpenZika Project

L.S. (or something like to the 'readers' hail).

There's a knowledge base behind the work unit generation system that measures how long each ligand type takes on average. Then when a WU is packaged there's 'up-to' 350 being fit in a WU so as to get to a target time of around 2 hours [project average]. The system is not perfect as on on my 10+ years old Q6600 test system still see the occasional unit racing by in under an hour, lastly one in 33 minutes, but by and large, they do about 1.5-1.6 hours on that system with the occasional excursions. See https://bit.ly/WCGCPH1 red line how actual runs versus desired.

It's a rare instance, but this one was at warp speed (just one task in the workunit):

Re: Welcome to the OpenZika Project

There could be some organizational reason for this... a set has say 10000, and that one was the last one in the set. Add rule: If residual in set is less than X, put all in last group WU. Need for system speed makes a rule for these exceptions probably not paying off. Or, the lone ligand was an exception... thought to run 2:25, but then poof accroding the knowledge base, very fast minimum lowest docking energy reached and 'we're done'.

Re: Welcome to the OpenZika Project

FWIW, the "last in set" hypothesis isn't reflected in the WU naming, given this higher-numbered result on the same machine (yes, several assumptions being made here):
ZIKA_ 000020374_ x4v0r_ Dengue_ NS5_ wGTP_ s2_ 0536_ 0-- Microsoft Windows 10 Professional x64 Edition, (10.00.10586.00) 705 Valid 11/06/16 07:30:18 13/06/16 11:40:14 1.60 50.2 / 50.2

Re: Welcome to the OpenZika Project

I need a credit for the blue fuzzball depction of Zika.

I am using that image in my blog, promoting this project every chance I get.

I do not like to use any image without a credit. I have searched for the image in Google images to get a credit. The image is not there.

I hope that someone can come up with the image credit.

Re: Welcome to the OpenZika Project

On the Experiments website, 3B has become 2C, and 3A has been added - batches 95989 thru 131136. Good to see more work!
