New flavors of OET WUs?

I am just watching new OET WUs in my Ubuntu machine, WUs which don't behave as OET WUs used to do:
- their WU name is no longer built on the usual pattern
- their progress indicator no longer increments 10 by 10 %
- they no longer checkpoint every 12.5 %, but more frequently.

Is this really a new and different set of WUs and, if yes, have I missed some message announcing them ?

Edit: Well, it has been noticed and reported there too:
Ebola Project Milestones & Records

Maybe this is the start of the new research mentioned by the lab in their latest project update.

Re: New flavors of OET WUs?

Finally got a set of these new types in the batch range 2039-2067 [Lazza?] Not sat down to observe how these run on W8.1-64, but it's interesting to hear how they more frequently checkpoint than the forced 8 times... same app, v7.19 [No beta seen].

Someone posted about a whole series of 23 going PVer, so maybe the techs reset the reliability for this occasion... speculation, just 1 reporting.

Re: New flavors of OET WUs?

Actually, the most visible difference (beside their naming pattern) is that these new WUs are multijob WUs.
Which obviously makes it easier to get rid of the 10%-progress-stepping "feature" and allows more frequent checkpoints.

Re: New flavors of OET WUs?

No particular problem of Pending Validation ratio.
Most of my "new" WUs are still _0 ones which get validated immediately.
I have only a few PVer which were _1 WUs probably possibly because of the unusual Linux OS of their wingmen.

Re: New flavors of OET WUs?

Good observation ! These new WUs pack several dozens, some even >100 tasks.
Could this multi-packaging explain the fast jump in project progress ?

If that really matters (not for me) it would be better placed in this thread:

I don't know if there's a relationship between Android and these new WUs. I still have some old WUs lying around:

Example 1:
Name: OET1_0001909_xZAGP-S_rig_92019
_0 No Reply
_1 Error - process got signal 11
_2 Error - SIGSEGV: segmentation violation
_3 Valid

Example 3:

Re: New flavors of OET WUs?

I am just watching new OET WUs in my Ubuntu machine, WUs which don't behave as OET WUs used to do: - their WU name is no longer built on the usual pattern - their progress indicator no longer increments 10 by 10 % - they no longer checkpoint every 12.5 %, but more frequently.

This must be a Linux thing, on my Windoze system the progress percentage has always incremented linearly.
But anyway, the frequent check pointing is much appreciated (usually less than 3 minutes).
