Any explanation as to why CPU time is higher than elapsed time?

No different to what at least I see happening at times with other sciences, a sudden 100% efficiency [at least a technical cap was put on that value :]. Cause, at least observed when restarting client or task, sometimes just a few cores.

I think this is because your machine runs sooo fast, that it creates a temporary time-continuum discrepancy ;-)

Cause, at least observed when restarting client or task, sometimes just a few cores. No restarts on either. All the cores on this machine are doing it.  I think this is because your machine runs sooo fast, that it creates a temporary time-continuum discrepancy ;-)  If only that were true.

Although I'm sure it'll settle down in due course, the WU's I'm seeing coming in and waiting their turn on "the cores", have an estimated time of just under 5 hrs, whilst the 3 WU's that are currently being crunched, have already an elapsed time of over 18 Hrs (actual time of over 15 1/2 hrs) with about another 25% still to go.
----------------------------------------So, don't fill your caches up to the brim - they could well bubble over!!!!  |
