I saw this at the bottom of the forum:
Current timezone is -5 Mar 24, 2016 5:28:10 AM Due to daylight saving time, the time zone is supposed to be -4 as I am in upstate New York. |

If you are logged out, the time shown is in offset to the UTC/GMT time. If you're logged in it follows whatever time zone you entered in the My Forum profile, BUT, you still have to manually adjust twice a year for the DST change [if you choose to]. There's no automatic adaptation.
----------------------------------------(plz do not complain... it is part and parcel of the choice by WCG to keep it simple and ... and stick to the software they selected when the grid was launched. We still get to read all 11+ years of posts as historic reference e.g.) [Edit 1 times, last edit by SekeRob* at Mar 24, 2016 10:40:49 AM] |

Strictly speaking, your timezone (a geographical region) is correctly still defined as having a standard time of UTC-5, but your local time is UTC-4 because of daylight saving time. No, this doesn't help with the forum's deficiency over DST!
