"BOINC has always had an issue with stuck downloads, and nothing seems to have changed."

(Don't answer, because I posted about a check-in and latest build now ignores stuck image downloads as not critical to work processing i.e. work downloads wont get obstructed.) Is this an issue with the site where download is performed?

Got a couple stuck WUs from this new project and it also hung up some FAAH2 Wus as well. I highlighted the FAAH2 Wus only and got them to download ok. I then aborted these new HST1 Wus and I tried to get some more, but on the download only got more FAAH2 WUs - I guess I'll try again tonight and see if I can force a group of these new Wus to download and see if they behave at that time. Like usual with a new project, there are always some fine tuning and a bug or two missed in Beta to work out .... But at least we have some new work to crunch!

I've fixed my problem by coping the 5 files from the link posted in 1st entry. Shutting down Boinc and coping to projects folder then restarting.
----------------------------------------Now to see about the Ubuntu ones. I'll have to read on how to do that one.  1st big problem I've had in 9yrs. but, it's fun trying to figure out how to fix it. I guess your never too Old to learn new things.    |

I can verify installing an updated version of Boinc (7.6.22) resolves this issue. All the aborting, updating, resetting the project did nothing to fix the stuck downloads.

I can verify installing an updated version of Boinc (7.6.22) resolves this issue. All the aborting, updating, resetting the project did nothing to fix the stuck downloads. Strange, the aborts of the downloads worked for me. Had to fixed 3 machines this morning.  |

I can verify installing an updated version of Boinc (7.6.22) resolves this issue. All the aborting, updating, resetting the project did nothing to fix the stuck downloads. Yes, indeed. Worked for me as well.  Finally back to normal. Now I need HST WU's.

Strange how this issue doesn't effect everyone. GPUGrid has been having this same issue for months. Unfortunately I'm on the stuck download side there and no one has been able to figure out what's going on. Updating the BOINC client did not fix it there.

Unfortunately I'm on the stuck download side there and no one has been able to figure out what's going on. Updating the BOINC client did not fix it there. Yes indeed. I have 3 instances of WCG (two on a dual boot Linux/Windows machine and one on a Windows laptop). Only the Windows side of the dual boot had this issue.

Some members have posted that they are not able to download the slideshow images. Can you please see if you can pull up the image in your web browser: https://BDD7.https.cdn.softlayer.net/80BDD7/g...slideshow/hst1_02_v01.png If this still does not work, I am investigating how to update the slideshow images to download from multiple sources.
