Just remember folks, if you're determined to get HSTB WU's and thus, reach your goal - you can, just by following the simple suggestions outlined earlier in this thread.
----------------------------------------Basically; don't have the "If my computer can process work on my graphics card, then please send me work to run on my graphics card for the projects that I have selected above." option selected, Only have 'Help Stop TB' selected as your sole project, Set a decent cache (say, 1.5-2 days at least), so your computers have a chance to build up a stock of WU's, and Set up either a cron job or Windows task scheduler job to submit a request for new WU's at nn:03 and nn:33 hrs. There's not a huge amount of HST WU's available - but there's enough for people to slowly reach their goals. If you are concerned about running out of WU's, when your cache gets down to ~0.5 days, fill it up with another project, then return to 'sole HST' mode again. Once you've achieved your goal, then you can be mightly proud of that fact - as this is 'one of the trickier' projects to achieve goals with. ![]() |

I have been baby sitting HSTB for a while and am now 11 days from my next badge. Lately, I have not been getting very many tasks using the :03 and :33 times. Has anything changed in the last 3 or 4 days? It looks like the same number of tasks have been sent out(4000+). Have the delivery times changed? Anyone else notice a change?
----------------------------------------Four days later, I still can't pick up any HSTB tasks even with babysitting. I see that the daily feed has decreased so maybe that is the problem? For anyone getting any of these, what are the times that you get them? Still at xx:03 and xx:33? ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by tmedve at Sep 3, 2017 12:52:01 PM] |

tmedye - I go through this as well from time to time. I just fill up my queue every few days with other work, and then set up queue up to see if I can land and HSTB WUs. Its kind of like fishing with a bobber. Sometimes you go long periods of time where those HSTB WUs fish leave your hook unused and the bobber idle, every so often you get a bunch of hits in a relatively short period of time. I know that trying to pick up work on the weekends seems to be the hardest time to do so for this project - I have better luck during the week snagging some WUs from this project to crunch.
I'm (VERY) slowly moving towards my next badge, but I suspect once I hit RUBY (hopefully before the end of 2017), I may decide to stay with other projects where volume of work to crunch is easier to come by ... |

I have 12 Smash Childhood Cancer work units ready to start.
----------------------------------------One FightAids@Home-Phase two running. Last HSTB was: 21-Aug-2017 23:55:15 Finished upload of HST1_013066_000050_MC0028_T000_F00039_S00031_1_r1558106834_6 ![]() |

Just landed 5 HSTB WUs in the past 3 hours, and none of them had time stamps at the 3 and 33 exactly:
The time stamps are 08:37, 09:05, 9:34, 9:34, and 9:36. Now only one of them (at 9:34) is a _0 Job, the rest are _1 or _2 WUs. But it is possible to land a few of these WUs from time to time. Just got to know how to 'fish' for them and be patient. ![]() And I find the _1 and _2 jobs tend to be the longer running ones, which run around 15-17 hours on my laptop. So my 5 WUs probably will add 2.5 to 3 days to my totals towards my next badge as my laptop crunches them over this upcoming week. |

It seems that whatever was holding up the tasks has been resolved. Things are back to normal for me and now I have several in queue. I can usually keep a supply but this was the longest period of time when I got absolutely nothing. A few more days and I will hit my 2 year sapphire and then I will concentrate on FAH2, SCC and MIP. Only 35 days more to go and on my little machine, maybe 9 calendar days.

Received only 1 unit. Cache is set to 3 days and no other project. Would it be possible to limit the amount of concurrent wus send to a host so that distribution would be more spread to base?
