Sapphire by 36 minutes.

Off to SCC where I can just leave it to run. "It's been emotional."

Re: Help Stop TB Badge Recognition Thread

John, there are very few HSTB work units about so if you select it along with a load of other projects your chances of getting work are very low. You have to hunt them down - see the thread in this forum about using boinccmd for tips that do work.

I like this project, but I really don't have time to "hunt" the HSTB WUs. I guess I'll just have to wait to get them as they become available, trickling in as they become available... hopefully I'll make it to gold before the turn of the next century tongue Luck to all.

cjslman, Okay, there's not "an abundance" of HSTB WU's, but I'm sure that there's sufficient nowadays for you to fill your buffers up to (say) 2.5 days, and then switch to HSTB only for a couple of days - then repeat. I'm sure you'll grab a few - especially as, nowadays, they seem to come at various different times - not just at 10:03, 10:33 & 11:03 UTC (in the majority of cases). Also, I'm on the brink of reaching my goal (Sapphire - I'm crunching my last HSTB WU now), so I, and I can see that various other people have already pulled out of this project having reached their goal. Thus, there should be a few more to grab due to that reason.

gb009761, I have tried on various occasions to get HSTB WUs. What I do is I select only HSTB and let the my queue run for a few days... haven't had to much luck with that method. I have this project continuity selected on all my machines. I was able to pull in about 5 WUs last week, but haven't seen any since. I'm not complaining, I understand it's just the nature of the beast. Maybe my machines aren't recognized as "HSTB cunchers" and I don't get first dibs. No big deal.
I would like to explain why I'm interested in this project... a couple of years back, my brother in law was diagnosed with TB and it really caused a economic hardship on his family (he couldn't work for 4 months). So I'm all for getting this illness off the face of the Earth.
Thanks,
CJSL

Crunching like there' s no tomorrow...
