Particularly with a beta test, we don't know how often the WU dispatcher runs nor how often the "too many errors" checker runs - both could be manual. So I'm not surprised to see the gap between the last returned copy (_3 at 05:47:39) and receipt of your copy (_4 at 11:50:20).
I see the alternative meaning of Too Late as still fitting - the distribution was indeed stopped due to too many errors, your copy completed with a normal exit in Job #3 after 15.41 hours and was subsequently allocated Too Late status in order to trigger a review, and credit will be granted when that special process is run (again perhaps manually, also noting that the validators for Beta CEP2 are off at the moment).

Already asked / noted that question: Technically, when 4 have errored out, and only then the 5th is distributed, it is of no purpose when a wingman is required, which it seems it is. So in this situation the 5th copy [the copy cap for this science], will never get a meet with a wingman and thus ends in a Too Late escape clause. WHAT WE DO NOT KNOW [if only the techs would be a little bit more forward on sharing answers to these FAQ questions]: Whence these results are on *take-out* list, is the non-error tested offline? Is it left up to the project owners to test these again? If so, we could all have peace with the issue. Until we know we keep getting "I've wasted 16 hours on this" assumptions, for until we have an official answer, it remains an assumption.

@techs, please give us an [general] answer of what's the policy treatment of the Too Late results? [I wrote that piece of the Too Late in the CMFAQ, but is it true true?]

I have one WU that it waiting for two other WUs to be validated.. It errored out at 18 hrs. It is in a group of 5 that all errored out. 3 because of the 18 hr rule. Two of the 18 hour errors are still pending validation. Is the validator turned off or is it just a matter of time until these are addressed?

I just got a Beta for CEP2. It is a resend 4 and my wingman also got resend 3 at the same time as I did. The first 3 passes at this task all errored out and they completed on 3/21. Now a week later, 3/28, resends 3 and 4 were sent. Any idea what the week long delay is for? Thanks.

My guess would be that with the new HST1 project starting they haven't had time to go back and process the beta tasks. I had a bunch of PVs that cleared so that's good. I still have HST1 betas that are waiting on the wingman.

Five error results, but all these completed with RC = 0x1 in Job #3, all showing a normal-seeming result log. Quite a mix of Windows versions!

The same WU was errored on Windows based hosts. It has been resent to two Linux based hosts (including my own host) and the both errored as well.
My Linux host is an i7 6700K.
