Re: WCG detach itself and project backoff

I have about 20 machines where I wanted to spin up WCG. I set up 1 last night to get settings dialed in before working on the others. I checked things this morning and it had completed 1 unit. :-( Sure enough, the log reports "Temporary failed download of...." so it refuses to get more work.

I did a detach / reattach so I pulled another unit, but I'm also seeing download failures again. I do not want to baby sit 1 box, let alone 20. Sigh. Maybe it's time to fold again.

Re: WCG detach itself and project backoff

We have fixed this issue.

The core of the issue (as SekeRob noted) was that a few of the slideshow files were referenced as this:

http://bdd7.https.cdn.softlayer.net/80BDD7/gr...slideshow/cep2_03_v02.png

when they should have been referenced as this

https://BDD7.https.cdn.softlayer.net/80BDD7/g...slideshow/cep2_03_v02.png

(note the http vs https)

We have changed the references so that they all use the proper https references thus future attaches/resets will pick up the proper references.

In the meantime, we have modified things so that the http connection works so that the machines that are currently stuck will work correctly. We will leave this in place for about a week and then we will remove it since it will not longer be required.
