the 'funny job' almost finished instantly. Like, a 1 hour job but the percentage kept increasing fast in 11 minutes.

still project backoff downloding that 5 image ( 2 mcm png image and 3 oet image)

For that issue [unable to download certain fixed/static .png files] I've written an FAQ **, the odd being it was most always about 2 different ones. 5 is unheard of. Problem with any download hang is, nothing more will come until the issue [supposedly transient], is resolved.
----------------------------------------** The demigod who's got posting rights to the Community maintained FAQ's forum might want to copy the OP of the FAQ there. There was a "members don't have to do anything" HTTPS server upgrade according a member highlighted News item [would not have known otherwise]. Usually the 'don't have to do anything' without exception comes with surprises such as the large number of members reporting unclosed xml tag errors in the last few days... will be good for non-lossless of many computing hours not going to WCG. Thanks for the FAQ. However:

it seems that completed job are uploaded just fine. but no new job will download - due to that 5 image.

----------------------------------------I am having the same issue but with my android phone that I attached to WCG yesterday. It's looking for cep file that will not download and keeps saying that there is an error. I downloaded one task first, then overnight I got a couple more, but after that no more tasks.  |

Unfortunately [or fortunately for WCG], it's *not* any client version related issue. Reset the project on a 7.6.22 client. Have 2 transient download errors for 2 oet slideshow files, so it's now without work. I truly can't be bothered about resolving this manually, so powered down device.
Files with download problem are oet1_05_v01.png and oet_03_v01.png, where the client is set to only work on oet [what it's best at under Linux]. In the old days there would be someone monitoring forum reported events... |

Have a same issue on one Win10 machine: - Reset project didn't work! - Uninstall -> Restart -> deleting BOINC data dir -> Install Still having same problem...all science programs downloaded with several MB, pic give errors on download! |

... and I got dejected (?) from the project. my BOINC ask if I want to connect to the project. See what I can do this weekend.

I am having this same problem. I've been blaming my computer since I had multiple BSOD today while I tried to correct a bad security program bug. When I finally booted up. I had lost this project, 8 work units wound up as detached, and I had to rejoin the project. I was able to download one work unit but no more due to the stalled download of these images. When the work unit was returned, I tried a reset of the project, got 8 work units along with the same stalled images. As the work units completed, no further schedule requests worked due to the stalled downloads.
