Several running on Win 7 are waiting to be validated.
Still waiting for results from Linux Betas.
So far so good.

Managed to get 49 and process 46 so far. About a third will validate when the admins turn on the validator. Should be more as wingmen finish more of them. Not getting any more though so looks they're all sent out. Was a nice size beta though.

This was a very small beta. 10,000 that were already run and then another 10,000 of the ones that failed. This was just to test a fix to the code. If the results are the same with the 10,000 that previously ran just fine, then the code change doesn't impact the actual results. If the 10,000 that previously failed complete successfully, then the code change was a success. It doesn't take long for 20,000 WU's (40,000 total) to be distributed. MCM1 is currently running over 400,000 completed WU's per day. You would need to be registered to get the Beta units, so if you are, it doesn't matter what the project is, you will get it. The first Beta I received was at 18:00:06 UTC and the last being 23:00:18 UTC. So roughly three hours before they were all gone. There might be some resends though. You just need a lot of cores to get the Beta units when it is a small test like this one. The other alternative, when there is a Beta, increase your cache which would really be counterintuitive since they want the results back. If many did that then it could be days before they start to see the results.

There's a maximum of one WU per thread, so if you only have two threads then you have all you can get. Otherwise it's just a matter of luck as they go very quickly. This is why it takes people a very long time to get beta badges!

I received two resends for which the wingmen had the following errors:

Re: Beta Test for Mapping Cancer Markers - Feb 3rd, 2016 [ Issues Thread ]

Got 6 WUs for the total of 6 cores that I have at my disposal across 2 machines (what more can I ask for?). I didn't have the chance to "mess" with them since it all happened overnight mostly, so all completed fine and are pending validation. coffee

As a side note, this will bring me even closer to the Silver badge, but will have to wait for more beta work to finally see it happening.

I'll keep my ear to the ground... biggrin

Received 8 WU's in total - split evenly over Win 7 & 8.1. All appeared to run normally, now awaiting that validator being switched on smile
