That would be great...but we just don't know if:
----------------------------------------1. that scientist want a computational power for their research? 2. did they apply to WCG? 3. how fast will it get there? until we start getting BETAs... ![]() |

Doubt it.
----------------------------------------Maybe the DDDT2 scientists could run the data they have against the Zika virus since it is of the same virus family. Zika fever isn't even a serious disease for the general population, problem is pregnant women and those who want to get pregnant. ![]() - AMD Ryzen 5 1600AF 6C/12T 3.2 GHz - 85W - AMD Ryzen 5 2500U 4C/8T 2.0 GHz - 28W - AMD Ryzen 7 7730U 8C/16T 3.0 GHz |

We have already reached out to several of our research partners, who either work in related areas, or who are affiliated with organizations which may be involved in Zika research, to see if there is a need for World Community Grid's vast computational resources. Those conversations are ongoing.
As SekeRob mentions, Zika is now a serious global health threat and we're very interested in helping out in any way possible. |
