I wanted to update this thread real quick. I took a look at UGM workunits that have been recently completed for the project.

There were 47506 workunits that completed and those workunits had 95613 results that were returned to the server successfully or were still in progress (it includes results found to be invalid, but excludes errors). This results in a ration of 2.013 results per workunit. If I simply include all results in any state and in any outcome associated with the workunits, there are 105063 results which yields 2.21 results per workunit.

This informs us that the issue is creating unnecessary redundant copies, but not on a massive scale.

We are definitely going to work toward a resolution of this issue as Keith is investigating. However, we are entering into the end of year we are hesitant to introduce change into a key component such as the transitioner when we are going to be operating on lower staff levels.

As a result, further investigation and resolution of this issue will continue into January.
