GFAM team publishes paper

Hello all,

Alexander Perryman (researcher for the GO Fight Malaria project) and his co-authors have published a paper on developing methods to predict drug candidate stability within the body. The liver often cleans out foreign compounds from the body, and this cleaning process would make a drug less potent. Although mice are often used to screen for these properties, Dr. Perryman’s team worked on machine learning techniques to accomplish this, potentially reducing the amount of animal testing and saving costs in evaluating drug candidates. This technique may prove useful for his further research on malaria, tuberculosis and many other diseases.

I don't know... it gives the post a certain air of familiarity. It's also very funny coming from the admin that polices the forums. I vote to leave it laughing

Yes, it was quite the surprise to open the email flagging a profane word, only to see my own name! That was definitely a first...
