Thread: reset project file downloads stalled |

Tried to reset the project. On downloading project files plus WUs, two files are not being transferred - stat_v03.png and wcg_v01.png .
Restarting the PC I get the message 'can't resolve hostname'. When the project tries to obtain new WUs 'some download is stalled'. |

If you're on a client version below 7, that could be the cause. Then upgrade to latest at the download page, link right top of forums.

Problem was with BOINC manager 7.2.42
Now with 7.6.9 After reset project png files now download OK. |

You don´t tell which platform, but it would have been interesting if Windows, then upgrading to WCG´s 7.2.47 had resolved the matter. When not, then techs might be in need to do a little bit more work on their own endorsed version.

I had a similar situation on my Windows 7 64bit BOINC 7.2.42 environment.

Bring backup file of stat_v03.png and wcg_v01.png 2. Disable network activity with BOINC Manager menu 3. Reset WCG project 4. With Windows Explorer, go to BoincDataRoot\projects\www.worldcommunitygrid.org 5. Place two files on the folder 6. Enable network activity with BOINC Manager menu 7. Execute Update of WCG project 8. 1st trial of project communication, it won't get new WUs yet, but 2nd time, it started to download new WUs.
