Hello I am new here and wanted to ask is there any way my pc can help the servers while I am in front of it and using it? I read that it helps when you're idle but I'd like it to help all the time.
I recently received a Nvidia Geforce gtx 960 for my birthday and I am currently not gaming for a while and would like to put it to use. This is why I joined and to help others, too. Thanks in advance. |

Hi,
Yes, as you're only using a fraction of the CPU, you can donate the remainder of the computing power by processing work unit for WCG. Install BOINC from the download page, connect to WCG [membername/password] and away you are. GPGPU's can at this time not be used at WCG but there are other projects that can. Have fun crunching for humanity. |

Okay, thanks.
So what other projects can use my GPU as well? Are there any that use 100% of my gpu? It's just that I'd like to put that to use as well instead of my cpu always doing the work. |

Here is a list of Boinc projects: https://boinc.berkeley.edu/projects.php Since you have a Nvidia GPU, look for the Nvidia logo in the supported Platforms column. |
