I thought that I had gotten this figured out once, but I still don't have it working.
----------------------------------------Each time my computer reboots for a windows update, Boinc loads but does not start until I log in to my computer. I have 2 users on my computer. As soon as I log in to my user account on the computer, Boinc starts up and runs. Is there a way to have it automatically start without the login? This is worrisome if I am away for several days and I can't monitor the computer. Thanks Tom ![]() |

BOINC only loads/runs -before- sign in, when you install the client as service. Uninstall and install again, carefully reading the option [advanced].

Thank you Rob. I think I had done that once before and must have made a mistake on updating to a newer version of BOINC some time ago and forgot to set it up as a service. Thanks for the reminder.

Updating does not change the method, user, when upgrading. You have to specifically uninstall, else an upgrade just uses the settings you had.
Glad to have been of help to provide the pointer. |
