Greetings everyone,
----------------------------------------I got my periodic update about courses "recommended for me" from Coursera and it had highlighted a course called "Organic Solar Cells - Theory and Practice ". The abstract for the course says: "The goal of the course is to give students awareness of the largest alternative form of energy and how organic / polymer solar cells can harvest this energy. The course provides an insight into the theory behind organic solar cells and describes the three main research areas within the field i.e. materials, stability and processing." .I thought it might be interesting to take to get a little more learning around the context of The Clean Energy Project. I thought I might post about it here and see if anyone else would be interested in taking it. And as with most of the MOOCs - they are charging my favourite price - Free! And @Clean Energy Project Scientist - any opinion about the course? ![]() [Edit 3 times, last edit by The Aspens at Jul 16, 2015 3:19:37 PM] |

This looks like a great course to learn the basics of organic solar cells. Lecture 3 on Materials is the one that seems more relevant to the CEP.
Indeed, it is cool that this is available as the participants in the project can learn more about the science that we are undertaking. Indeed, myself (Alan Aspuru-Guzik) is developing a MOOC on quantum chemistry (the foundations of the methods we use for the CEP) that will be launched sometimes in 2016. For those of you interested in more of the fundamentals on how things are done. Cheers to all, The CEP team. |
